The terms governing your use of the BharatCover website and services.

1. About BharatCover

BharatCover ("we", "us", "our") is an IRDAI-regulated insurance intermediary. We facilitate the purchase of general insurance products — we are not an insurer.

All policies displayed on this website are underwritten by licensed general insurance companies (SBI General Insurance Co. Ltd., Magma General Insurance Co. Ltd., and Go Digit General Insurance Ltd.).

Insurance is the subject matter of solicitation. Please read the sales brochure and policy wordings carefully before concluding a sale.

By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

2. Nature of Our Services

  • We provide information about insurance products to help you make informed decisions.
  • We facilitate enquiries and quote requests which are passed to the relevant insurer or our team for follow-up.
  • Premiums and benefits displayed are indicative and subject to the insurer's final underwriting decision.
  • BharatCover does not guarantee policy issuance, claim approval, or any specific claim outcome — these are solely at the insurer's discretion.
  • Your policy contract is directly with the insurer, not with BharatCover.

3. Accuracy of Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep product information, premiums and coverage details accurate and up to date. However:

  • Insurance products and premiums are subject to change by the insurer without prior notice.
  • Policy wordings published by the insurer are the final and binding documents — not summaries on this website.
  • Always read the policy document in full before purchasing.

4. User Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate and complete information on all proposal forms. Any non-disclosure or misrepresentation may result in claim rejection or policy cancellation by the insurer.
  • You are responsible for reviewing policy terms and ensuring the product suits your needs.
  • You must not use this website for any unlawful purpose.
  • You must not attempt to access, disrupt or compromise any part of the website's systems.

5. KYC and Regulatory Compliance

In accordance with IRDAI guidelines, KYC (Know Your Customer) is mandatory for all insurance transactions. You will be required to provide your PAN number and may be required to complete e-KYC via UIDAI (Aadhaar) or NSDL (PAN) verification. Your policy document will be issued digitally and credited to your e-Insurance account as required by IRDAI e-commerce regulations.

6. Free-Look Period

For health insurance policies, you have a 15-day free-look period from the date of receipt of the policy document. If you are not satisfied with the policy, you may return it during this period. The refund will be the premium paid less a pro-rata amount for days of risk covered and any stamp duty charges. Contact us at hello@bharatcover.net to initiate a free-look cancellation.

7. Premiums and Payments

  • All premiums displayed exclude GST (18%) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Payments are processed via RBI-approved payment gateways. We do not store your card or banking credentials.
  • Premium receipts are issued by the insurer.
  • In the event of a failed payment, please contact us before retrying to avoid duplicate charges.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — text, images, logos, product descriptions, and design — is the property of BharatCover or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit any content without our written permission. The BharatCover logo and name are trademarks of VS Enterprises.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BharatCover shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or the products described herein. Our liability in any matter is limited to the distribution fees received on the relevant transaction.

We are not liable for decisions made by insurers regarding policy issuance, premium loading, exclusions or claim settlement.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, India and to the jurisdiction of IRDAI as the regulatory authority.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
